I hope I do not come across as rude when writing this message, I am simply trying to inform you of the bad reputation which is being brought to the most respected MSN Messenger extension in the world at the current date. I am also trying to inform you of the correct methods of removal, which is completely simple, if you aren't naive enough to use spyware removal program to do so, as most adware (inc. that of which is bundled in the msgplus.exe installer) is easily removable by simply going into Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

During the installation, it prompts you as to whether or not you would like to install the "sponsor program", which is the C2Media ( lop.com) adware, you can simply press "I refuse", and the adware will not install, it is those who do not read this part which make the mistake of installing the stripped down version of the adware. I put this in bold simply because it is stripped down, by Patchou himself in fact, as he doesn't want to slow down the users computers if they do install the Sponsor Software, Patchou has (and always will) have the users of his software in the back of his mind. It even tells you in the EULA about the sponsor program, if they install the software, then it was in their own naivity and Patchou won't take any responsibility for it, as it was their own fault.

I would love for you to tell me the privacy issues which are involved with the msgplus.exe process, the only time it ever contacts this server is when one of the following things occurs:

It sends usage stats to it's server (This can be turned off in the preferences)
A custom sound is received (this can also be turned off)

Well, that definitely isn't true, Messenger Plus! is not adware, C2Media is adware which is bundled in the installer, and not in the program itself. Removing msgplus.exe will not slow down the computer, attempting to remove the optionally installed sponsor software will slow down your computer, but this will only happen if you use spyware removal software in the process.
How to Remove Messenger Plus!

I will now tell you the correct way to remove the Messenger Plus! Sponsor software.

First of all close any instances of MSN Messenger & Internet Explorer (IEXPLORE.EXE), then go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs, then scroll down to "Messenger Plus! 3", you can then press "Uninstall the sponsor program only." As the adware bundled in the installer (As said earlier) is optional, and it isn't required for Messenger Plus! to work, it is simply a form of income for Patchou. Then follow the steps that it gives, then you can restart your computer, and your computer will be 100% free of any c2media adware, unless of course, the adware has came from another source.

I have installed the adware on my computer over 10 times, and every single time have never had any issues with it when following the correct removal instructions.
