Home XP:n vikasietotila kyllä käynnistyy, mutta läppärin näyttö pysyy pimeänä.
Nyt asensin koneelle D-levylle uuden XP:n Professionalin, jota kautta tietysti näen C-levyn datan, mutten tiedä yhtään mihin käynnistysfaileihin pitäisi mennä sörkkimään ja mitä. Eli tietääkö joku, mikä komento tai parametri käynnistää vga-näytönohjaimet Home Xp:tä käynnistettäessä, voisin esim. kopata XP prosta ne tarvittavat tiedostot.
Kokeilin myös näillä ohjeilla käynnistää home xp:n näytönohjaimet, tuloksetta.
boot up normally
log in (On my multi-user PC that's cursor <up/down>, then <enter> - on my firend's it auomatically logs into the sole user, hopefully you should remember, but the up/down enter should do it anyway at a push. Remeber there may be password entry at this stage depending on the PC). Anyway, if your lucky the annoying windows sound (if enabled) will greet you.
<windows key> (opens the start menu)
<r> (shortcut for 'Run')
type "devmgmt.msc" <Enter> (this runs the device manager)
<TAB> (moves to the device list)
<ALT-V><Enter> (Select the view menu and chooses 'Devices by type')
<D><D> (moves to the 2nd item alphabetically that starts with 'D' - SHOULD be "display adapters")
<cursor right><cursor right> (Opens the
list for this device and selects the first item)
<Alt+A> (Opens the action menu)
<Cursor down> (Moves to 'enable')
<Enter> (Enables the display adapter)
Now, if sounds are on in windows some "new devices" noises occur, followed by some dialogue boxes (I assume), by pressing the 'Y' and 'Enter' keys (perhaps more that once) I'm sure I let it use the drivers it had, and I pressed 'Y' to restart the computer. Et Voila!
I hope this helped, I spent hours trying to sort out a friends PC (XP disc, boot discs etc) before trying to use windows blind.
I'd recommend pausing between all the stages to let the PC catch up. They are much slower than you remember when there's no egg-timer to look at. The bootup/login stage is particulalry tedious.
