Huomasin, että kannettava ei ollutkaan syksystä lähtien huolehtinut päivityksistä automaattisesti.
Nyt kun yritin hoitaa päivitykset kuntoon niin tulee ilmoitus: Windows Updaten käyttämiseen tarvittavat tiedostot eivät enää ole rekisteröityjä tai niitä ei ole asennettu.
Tästä kone pyytää jatkamaan eli rekisteröimään tai asentamaan tiedostot uudelleen. Tätä kun jatkaa niin tulee ikkuna lataa ja asenna uusin päivitysohjelmisto.
Lataus 100 prosenttia ja sama homma alkaa uudestaan eli ilmoittaa taas jossain vaiheessa,että tiedostoja ei ole rekisteröity tai asennettu.
Tein ohjeen mukaan ja toisessa kohdassa tuli ilmoitus ...mshtml.dll ladattiin, mutta aloituskohtaa dllregisterserver ei löytynyt. Tiedostoa ei voi rekisteröidä.
Vielä sen verran, että löysin Microftin sivuilta keskustelupalstalta vastaavan ongelman kuin itselläni. Se on kopioituna tuossa alla ja myöskin jonkun ilmoittama ratkaisu ongelmaan. Voiko joku selventää mistä tässä voisi olla kysymys ja uskallanko toimia noiden ohjeiden mukaisesti?

You may have to do this in Safe Mode... But try in normal mode first...
I'm going to give you a response that should cover most bases. It is not
mine - but it may do the trick for you...
(It covers a lot of bases.)
Reboot your computer and have nothing open before you start the steps....
Just log in and follow them, then when it has you rebooting - first thing
you should try ins visiting http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and seeing
what happens (in Internet Explorer.) Please come back and report!

Ja vielä itse vastaan , että tein kuten tuossa englanninkielisessä tekstissä neuvottiin ja pääsin heti sen jälkeen päivityssivulle ohjelman löytäessä heti 27 ensisijaista päivitystä!! Eli nyt alkoi homma toimia ja päivittäminen kunnossa.
Huh huh eli tsekatkaa että automaattipäivitys tosiaan toimii ettei käy niinkuin tässä meinasi käydä.
