I think what you posted made a lot of sense. But, what about this? what if you were to write a awesome headline? I am not saying your content isn't solid., however what if you added a post title that grabbed people's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little plain. You might peek at Yahoo's front page and watch how they create article titles to grab people to click. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to grab readers excited about everything've got to say. In my opinion, it might make your website a little livelier.
